A year at our school

Congratulations to the Holey Cheeses who competed in the Port Macquarie Regional event for the First Lego League competition 15 November. The team demonstrated their skills, teamwork and spirit throughout the day and won the Core Values Award and qualified for the National Championship East tournament in Sydney next month.

Lake Cathie Public School was filled with smiles as we celebrated Grandparents Day on Friday 24 October. We were absolutely delighted by the wonderful turnout of grandparents and special visitors who came to share in this very special occasion. After an assembly and morning tea classrooms opened their doors for some quality time together. Grandparents and students enjoyed writing, drawing, answering fun interview questions, colouring in and even sharing stories and reading time. It truly warmed our hearts to see so many families coming together to celebrate.

Outstanding performances by all dance groups at the Port Macquarie district dance eisteddfod recently.

The day started with an amazing performance by our supported learning dance group. The day continued with our dancers achieving the following results:
Overall highest scoring infants group K-2 went to our stage 1 dancers and first place trophies were awarded to our boys, stage 1, stage 2 and stage 3 dance groups.

Congratulations to Sam and Indie who competed at the School Sport Australia cross country nationals held in Queensland. recently.
