Student opportunities and activities
At Lake Cathie Public School, we offer a variety of programs in the classroom and across the school to help students build new skills, make friends and explore new interests.

Our extra-curricular highlights
Debating and public speaking
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
Creative and performing arts
Our dance, band and choir programs help students be creative and express themselves. Opportunities to attend band camp, to perform at community concerts, eisteddfods and showcases arise throughout the year.
Enrichment dance groups
Students have the opportunity to be involved with the enrichment dance groups.
Dance is a HPGE opportunity.
Band
Students from Year 3 to Year 6 can request entry to the extracurricular instrumental music and band program.
Band is a HPGE - High Potential,Gifted Education opportunity.
Incursions and excursions
Students are given to opportunity to attend educational incursions and excursions during the year.
