On Friday 23 June, the Camden Haven Community of Schools NAIDOC took place. Seven schools from the local area attended Kendall Public School to celebrate Aboriginal Culture with local Elders and community members. Each school invited both Aboriginal Students and non-Indigenous Students to celebrate this inaugural event.
On Tuesday 27 we held our LCPS NAIDOC Day. We began the day with an assembly hosted by the school leaders. The Aboriginal Dance Group performed a traditional Welcome Dance and the school choir performed Black Smoke by Emily Wurramara. Throughout the day all students K-6 participated in cultural activities of dance, language, craft and story telling. A big thank you our special guests and presenters Uncle Wayne, Aunty Linda, Aunty Maree, Kayla White and Stevie Donovan.
